Chris Thinnes is a veteran independent school leader, an active collaborator with education leaders from the public and private sectors, and an engaged public school parent. He consults with a variety of public and private schools in Los Angeles, while also establishing the Center for the Future of Education & Democracy (CFED) as its Founding Executive Director and pursuing his Ed.D. in Education Leadership for Social Justice at LMU. In recent years Chris has served as a member of EdLeader21's Advisory Group, NAIS's advisory council on diversity (Call To Action), and the EdCamp Foundation‘s public relations committee. In the 20013-2014 school year, Chris was honored as a Fellow of the Martin Institute for Teaching Excellence, named one of Carney Sandoe's "8 Thought Leaders to Follow Now," and featured as a panelist for the ASCD Whole Child Town Hall.
