
Chris Thinnes is a veteran independent school leader, an active collaborator with education leaders from the public and private sectors, and an engaged public school parent. He is a Senior DEI consultant with Blink Strategic Consulting, and consults with a variety of public and private schools in Los Angeles. Chris established the Center for the Future of Education & Democracy (CFED) as its Founding Executive Director and earned his Ed.D. in Education Leadership for Social Justice at LMU. In recent years Chris has served as a member of EdLeader21's Advisory Group, NAIS's advisory council on diversity (Call To Action), and the EdCamp Foundation‘s public relations committee. He currently serves on the EduColor and Progressive Education Network boards. In the 20013-2014 school year, Chris was honored as a Fellow of the Martin Institute for Teaching Excellence, named one of Carney Sandoe's "8 Thought Leaders to Follow Now," and featured as a panelist for the ASCD Whole Child Town Hall.
